Q: What sort of music do you support?

A: We support a wide range of music projects, including instrumental, art song, opera and dance music where the music is being, or has been, created by Aotearoa composers.  Generally this music is referred to as Contemporary Classical music because it is being created by living composers for classically trained instrumentalists and vocalists.

Q: Where do you find your composers, musicians and singers?

A: We invite leading creators and artists from Aotearoa to work with us and the mix depends on the particular performance requirements. Sometimes composers or leading musicians reach out to us with project ideas and we are always keen to hear about these.  Our involvement depends on whether we can add value to the project and the logistics of funding, workload and so on.

Q: Where can I find your music?

A: We support all NZ composed music, and you can find much of this on the SOUNZ website and by listening to RNZ Concert.  We also directly arrange performances and recordings of NZ music.  PACT-managed projects are in the Gallery tab.  Recordings of these are available on Amazon, Spotify and other leading music sites, CDs are available from Marbecks online. You can find performance videos and sheet music on SOUNZ website and some recordings on our own Youtube channel.

Q: Would you present a concert in my city?

A: We are always keen to collaborate with local music groups who have a subscribed or regular audience.  Like most charitable trusts, our resources are limited, and for each tour or performance we have to consider funding and other logistics.  Apart from the Upcoming Projects page on this website, you can also check our Facebook page or contact us for information about upcoming tours.

Q: What is your next event?

A: We renew the Upcoming Projects page regularly to let you know the latest information.  You can also follow our Facebook Page or Instagram or Contact us

Q: How can I book tickets to your concerts?

A: The Upcoming Projects tab contains details of planned performances and where or how to book.  Details can also be found on our Facebook page.  Generally we use Humanitix, but sometimes the venues we are using have their own ticketing provider.
