In 21st February 2021, we held this wonderful event as scheduled in Hamilton Garden Arts Festival Char Bagh Garden 21st February 2021. As a part of Festival, our performers brought fabulous performance music of Janet Jennings to all audience. It is an illustrated talk at the piano by renowned classical composer, Janet Jennings
Janet Jennings is a graduate of the Universities of Waikato and Auckland, and her works are
regularly performed in NZ and overseas. She writes for a wide range of instrumental forces as well
as specialising in setting texts to music. Her works have been recorded by Radio NZ, SOUNZ
Resound, and Atoll Records, and are played regularly on Radio NZ Concert. Janet’s recent music
projects include Flowing Water, the music-drama (libretto by Witi Ihimaera) premièred at the
Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival 2018, and four CDs of music recorded and released by Atoll
Records: Play-Pen – chamber music for flute, bassoon, voice, and piano (2019); Voices of Women
(2020); and Voices of Men (for release March 2021); Flowing Water (for release 2021).
